A New Era

Team,

As you all know, we’re changing our name from Morrison Tool & Fab, Inc. to Morrison Industries.

Almost every time a customer, supplier, or prospective employee comes to visit for the first time, they say “Wow, this is not what I expected!”  They were always surprised at the capabilities, capacity, and overall size of our company. That being the case, we came to the realization that our name no longer represented who we were.

When we started trying to decide what to change our name to, we were looking for something that more accurately displayed who we are without giving up our place in our industry or forgetting our heritage in the place that we call home. That’s how Morrison Industries was born.

So, what’s in a name? What does this mean about our future? The key thing that I want to be sure we all understand is this: changing our name doesn’t change who we are, but it changes who we can be.

While the outward perception of our company is important, it’s equally important that our inward perception changes as well. In order to realize our full potential, it’s critical that we start to see and believe in a better future version of ourselves both as a company and as individuals. If we don’t see the potential within ourselves, we will surely never realize it.

I’ve been a part of this company since 1994. I don’t believe anyone could possibly be more proud of who we are. We live our values, work harder than our competition, and treat each other like family the same way we did when we were the size of a family. We take care of our customers, suppliers, and each other. We have a fierce desire to simply get better every day. That’s who we are and nothing will change that.

Every day of my life, I give my all to uphold my responsibility to you and your families to create an environment that fosters success in all of our endeavors. I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your hard work in taking advantage of that environment. I firmly believe that in all of life’s endeavors, you get out of it what you put into it. My promise to you is to continue to pursue an environment that provides further opportunities for fulfilling our company’s purpose: To change our team’s family tree.

Those of you who have worked closely with me know that I’m not all about clichés and catch phrases, but I do know one thing for certain: If we work together to pursue the idea of making a positive change in our lives and the lives of our families, we will be successful. I’ve seen it with my own eyes for the last 21 years.

Our company has grown to the largest size in it’s history, but we’re not done. This is the beginning of a new era. In addition to everything we’ve already accomplished, I’ve never been more excited about what we’re poised to do next. Take some time consider where we’re at and prepare your mind to view this transition as a springboard to the next level not only for our company, but for you and your family. I promise you won’t regret it.

If you all keep pushing forward to make positive change in your work life and therefore the lives of your families, my promise to you is to keep raising the bar knowing that you’ll rise to the challenge.
