A custom WIP (work-in-process) rack engineered for line-side use at a Tier supplier and designed around the customer's AGV system. The rack moves through the facility two ways: an operator can pull it manually to the AGV staging lane immediately after loading, then the AGV picks it up and routes it to the next destination based on production output. The rack is built around the customer's specific part — a grille finisher — with internal dunnage sized to their pack density and QPC (quantity per container) requirements. The modular slotted frame allows for precise positioning of dunnage arms and gives the customer the flexibility to adjust as part configurations evolve. The integrated casters are spec'd for AGV pickup, so the rack itself is the unit being transported — no separate AGV cart base required. The kind of solution that comes from working backwards from the customer's automation, their part, and their throughput targets all at once.
