A custom rack built for Nissan to hold six complete four-cylinder engines per unit. The footprint and overall dimensions are engineered specifically to maximize fit inside a standard sea container — every inch is accounted for, so the customer gets the highest engine count per container on every shipment. Engines ship from this rack to domestic U.S. plants and to export markets including Europe, South Africa, and North and South America. The rack has to handle ocean freight, multiple ports of call, and repeated international cycling without compromising the engines inside. The four corner posts are collapsible — they fold down flat when the rack is empty, dramatically reducing the return-shipping footprint and freeing up storage space at the receiving plant. Forklift entry is available on all four sides for flexible handling on every dock the rack passes through. A high-stakes container where dimensions, durability, and return-logistics efficiency all had to land at the same time.
